A/N: Things are starting to get complicated over here at TROUF - we've got all these characters and timelines floating around! We've also got these fellows called gods, and they're kind of important, so here's one of TROUF's six main deities, the goddess of luck.
Jilna
Titles: Jilna, Jill (nelfkins only), Lady of Youth
Attributes: Youth, Luck, Children, Innocence
Appearance: Jilna takes a female form, usually youthful in appearance. Some people describe her as a young girl, but she is also commonly seen in the form of a woman. Her hair is strawberry blonde and worn in twin braids. She is usually seen wearing a white dress with a green belt. Her eyes are also described as being green in color. Her skin is very pale, but her cheeks are usually rosy.
Personality: She is quite playful, though often immature. Because she is so childlike, she is prone to childish behavior. When she is upset, she usually throws temper tantrums. She can hold a grudge for a very long time and will deny good luck to mortals who displease her. She is fond of all children and protects them, which is why nelfkins give all of their children a token of Jill to wear around their necks. Even though her tantrums can be truly destructive, she is also equally passionate when she is happy. Her chosen mortals enjoy exceptional lucky, and also usually very innocent or childlike in nature.
History: She is the daughter of Skye and Terra, but takes after her father more than her mother. Being the patron goddess of nelfkins, some people believe that Jilna created nelfkins herself, though no one knows if that might be true. Nelfkins are quite childlike in appearance, but otherwise resemble both elves and fairies in some ways. Some say that Jilna was jealous after the creation of elves and created nelfkins as a result.
One common story is that an elf child lost a doll while out playing. Jilna came across this doll and was charmed by its features. She brought the doll to life and gave it a mortal form, thereby creating the first nelfkin.
Nelfkins worship Jilna but have lost a great deal of their lore on her since the First Quest. What information remains about her has been primarily preserved by the elves.
